Hello Everyone,

Just a few items in this email if you're interested:

  • Go by Bike Week is here! From Oct 3-9, check out some of the Celebration Stations or log in your bike rides for a chance to win prizes.
  • The motion for bike guards on city trucks was approved unanimously at the last city council meeting in Richmond. A feasibility study is likely the next step. We will keep you posted. 
  • Municipal elections will be held on Saturday, October 15th. A couple of election-related updates from HUB:

    HUB has released a cycling platform to give candidates ideas on how to make cycling better in their cities. The platform focuses on 4 areas: land use, infrastructure, sustainable transportation and social equity.

    HUB also surveyed election candidates about their stance on active transportation and cycling and the results for each municipality can be viewed here.
