Call to Action - Truck Guards in Richmond - Wednesday, Sept 21st, City Council

Anna

Hello All,

In response to the August Beltran and dump truck incident in Vancouver this past summer,  HUB Richmond/YVR sent a letter to the City of Richmond advocating for the installation of guard rails on city-owned trucks. A copy of the letter is attached to this email.

This motion is being brought forward to City Council tomorrow, Wednesday, September 21, 2022. The meeting is scheduled to start at 3pm and the truck guards issue will be the last item on the agenda. We were also told of the possibility of this item being delayed for a future meeting.

Many apologies for sharing this item so late but if you are interested in participating, you can:
- provide your comments and support for the motion by emailing: CityClerk@...
- attend the meeting and/or sign up to speak on this issue by emailing CityClerk@... or call 604-276-4007 before 1pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2022

More detailed instructions from the City of Richmond website:
